Catch Disney Nature’s Chimpanzee and Save a Chimpanzee

Disney Nature’s Chimpanzee will premiere in theaters Earth Day, April 20th 2012. If you go to see the movie opening week Disney Nature will make a donation to the Jane Goodall Institute. So you can see Chimpanzee and maybe save a chimpanzee.

If you’re not familiar with this new film from Disney Nature, here’s what I know about it:

Oscar the Chimpanzee is born into a large loving family. He’s the normal curious playful chimp, but when he’s about 3 years old something goes terribly wrong, and he finds himself fending for himself, alone without his family. Another chimp finds him, adopts him and raises him as its own. Chimpanzee is a true story, and it’s the first time something like this has been documented on film.

Disney’s Secret World of Arrietty~ New Movie Clips!

Disney’s Secret World of Arrietty will be hitting theaters February 17th 2012. Today I have some new clips from the movie to share with you!

If you haven’t had a chance to check out the movie yet here’s a quick summary!

The Clock family is a 4 inch tall family who secretly lives in the home of another family, until Arrietty is discovered. When 12-year-old Shawn (voice of David Henrie), a human boy who comes to stay in the home, discovers his mysterious Arrietty (voice of Bridgit Mendler) one evening, a secret friendship blossoms. If their new friendship is discovered, their relationship could drive Arrietty’s family from the home and straight into danger!

I can’t wait to check this movie out when it hits theaters in a couple weeks! It sounds really cute!

Toy Story 3 Topped The Box Office In 2010

The top growing movie for 2010 was Toy Story 3 bringing in a whopping $415 million dollars here in the US and a staggering $1.06 billion worldwide, which also makes it one of the top 10 grossing movies of all time.

There were several other kids’s movies in the top 10 in 2010 including:

Alice In Wonderland at number 2 with $334 million US and $1.02 billion at the box office worldwide.
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1 clocks in at number 3 with $278 million US box office and $865 million worldwide.
Shrek Forever After is the number 5 movie for 2010 with $238 million domestic sales and $740 million worldwide
Despicable Me made the top 10 at number 8 with $251 million in US box office sales, and $540 million box office worldwide
How To Train Your Dragon squeaks into the top 10 at number 9 with $218 million US and $495 Million worldwide

Chihuahua Reigns at the Box Office

The Beverly Hills Chihuahua may not be bow- wowing the critics, but it’s stomping the competition this weekend at the box office. I suspect however harsh the critics are, the movie will still find a spot in the hearts of children and dog lovers.

The movie is about a Chihuahua named Chloe (voiced by Drew Barrymore) from Beverly Hills (of course), who runs into trouble while she’s in Mexico.

I haven’t seen the film yet, but every time I see the movie trailer, I’m reminded of the talking Chihuahua on the Taco Bell commercial several years ago.

If you saw the movie feel free to sound off on whether it’s worth the watch. We may go see it next weekend.
